Required MCT Action in Metrics That Matter for MCTs
If you are following the news, Microsoft is retiring the MCID identifier. From now on the email address linked to MCT status will be used instead.
This change need to be reflected in Metrics That Matter too, and the process need to be completed by September 30, 2024. If you do not complete the process, the MCT account will not be given credit for the course deliveries.
The process is simple.
- Login to Metrics that Matter to access your account at www.metricsthatmatter.com .
- Go to ‘My Certifications’ in the menu under your name in the upper left corner.
- Update the MCP ID field to the email account associated with your MCT status.
- Click Update Profile.
Share your MCT email address with Training Services Partners (TSP)
From now on, you communicate the MCT email address to TSP, so TSP can correctly add you, and you will be given credit for the class deliveries.

Hello,
it is a well known process by Microsoft partner. Once you are asked to teach a class, you communicate your email address for MTM evaluation.
I have faced tough times resetting my password as it says my password has expired and while trying to change it, it says my current password is incorrect.

Hello, I can’t renew my MCT accreditation. My MCT status remains active until July 2025. I just changed my MCP ID to my email address on my MTM profile. What is the next step to have my MCT certification activated again ? Do i export reports from MTM as last year ? Kind regards.
Hello, what you are reporting is expected. The mct renewal tool is currently offline, so Microsoft granted free renewal till they will fix it. You did perfect by changing data in MTM to your email profile (be sure this is the same address you use for MCT). Next step is to wait for MS to enable again the renewal tool so all MCTs can renew as expected. No needing to export reports, the link between MTM and MCT will be automatic, so Microsoft already know if you meet the requirements of teaching. King regards
